First Fishing Trip

Justus got to go on his first REAL fishing trip.  Aaron's friend and co-worker took them out on his boat.  Aaron, Justus, Kelly, and his two daughters had a great time.  Aaron got lots of fish and we got to eat fresh fish (salmon) for dinner that night!  Justus' highlight was pooping in a bucket!  O' to be three.  He seemed to have a great time fishing... he even got to drive the boat.  Maybe next time Keegan will get a turn to go!  He didn't like being left behind.

Grass?

Well the work is starting to pay off... we have GRASS!!!  You would think Justus planted it.  He's so proud that we have grass in the yard.  And it looks soooo pretty!  It will be nice when we can play in it!  It looks nice... it just needs to fill in more. You might notice the orange fence...  We've had several unwanted moose and a Chevron walking in our yard.  If you look even closer to the first picture you can Justus in the window :).   Aaron is hoping to mow the yard at least once before the snow flies.  I'm sure he'll get too!

Yard Work

We have been busy this summer.. but also trying to improve the look of the house!  We used to have too many trees in our yard.  It made the front of our house dark and NOT even visible. You can kind of see in the picture of Aaron and the boys on the 4-wheeler.  There are lots of tree trunks.  We decided to fall a few trees. The first picture shows NO trees in the front.  It is nice and open. Thankfully the Fire Wise program in our area was brought to our attention... so the next thing you know we are redoing the whole yard!  The money from the Fire Wise paid for the yard work!  It all worked out well... and the yard is looking great.  The boys have been enjoying all the BIG MACHINES!  They even got to go for a ride with Greg.  Everyone has pitched in... but Aaron put in some long hours to get it all done.  We were on the clock to get the yard hydroseeded so close to the end of summer.  Still some work to do, but here is the start!

Keegan Turns Two

We had a "real" birthday celebration after we got back from camping in Portage.  We invited SOOO many kids!  It was a fun mad house!  Keegan seemed to have a great time.  He requested a motorcycle birthday... however last minute in Anchorage it was too hard to try and pull it all together.  So second choice was Hot Wheels birthday.  The boys love all motorized vehicles.  Aaron made another wonderful cake, lots of presents, and our first pinata.  It was a success!  It's hard to believe our baby is TWO!

Portage

We had another wonderful camping trip.  We went to Portage...near Anchorage.  It was one of the most beautiful weekends we've had all summer.  Keith and Stephanie Randall and family joined us as well as some other friends dropping in to visit.   We had a little birthday celebration for Keegan on the 8th.  We also took the kids to a huge playground for Keegan's birthday.  Everyone had a great time... HOWEVER, Aaron got motion sick.  He now has sympathy for Stephanie Glasscock and I from all the car and boat riding we did when they were here.  We often looked a little green!  None the less he survived.  We also made a trip into Anchorage for the Casting Crowns Concert.  We had a great time.  Aaron and I enjoyed our night out together.  Can't wait to go again!

Black & White

We've been playing with our camera and trying to get some black and white photos of the boys.  There are some great pictures we got camping in Hope.  I tried adding once and it failed so here we go again!   I want to get a great candid of the boys blown up for over my fireplace.  I don't think I'll do one of these... but keep trying!  Still love them all.

HOPE

We have been breaking in the new camper.  We went to Hope Alaska the weekend before last.... and had a great time.  The weather cooperated nicely!  The boys had a great time fishing as did I.  I caught my first Salmon (pink).  It tasted very nice.  Aaron caught a fish we ate as well.  Many other were caught and released!  We also had time to ride the 4 wheeler Aaron bought the boys when we were in Arizona.  Hiked some and drove around Hope. We took lots of pictures of the boys... hope you enjoy them.   For the locals... if you've never been it is a beautiful place to visit.  We recommend it.  More camping adventures soon to follow!
