Bringing Up Boys!

Aaron is starting the boys young!  Justus and Keegan love to shoot the gun.  They want to help hunt the squirrels that plague our back yard!  Justus actually looks like he knows what he is doing!

Halloween

We had a rough day... for those of you who haven't heard... I gave Justus an over dose of medication that made him sad, depressed, and anxious!  It was very hard to watch him react to the medicine and it was my fault.  SO... I though Halloween was going to be a bust.  Justus did great he was very excited to go with our neighbors (Dillion and Carson) plus their mommy and the twins!  We had fun.  The boys also went to a party on Thursday with a play group we participate in.  The boys looked cute. We also carved a pumpkin with dad.  All the tradition stuff.   I didn't get to take too many pictures, but here are a few.

New member of the Family

Aaron found a new friend for the boys to love!  We have named her Sienne and she is very cute and sweet.  Unfortunately she still pee's and poop's!  I guess no one can be perfect.  The boys love her and want her to go everywhere we go.  Aaron thinks she is a doll to play dress up!  Anyway.. enjoy the pictures.  Halloween Pictures will be coming soon! McDonald's

Like most children... ours love McDonalds.  We try not to go too often, and rarely go inside to play.  However, with all the rain, there is not much else to do.  They need to get some energy out.  Aaron took the boys for lunch and playtime a few days back.  They all seemed to have a wonderful time.  Dad is the greatest, but it's still Food Fist and Play Second.

Messing Around

I have so many cute pictures of the boys lately!  We went to Home Depot and they wanted to ride the tractors!  They look cute riding doubles.  I also got some picture of bath time the other day.  Auntie Angela got them these really cute frog and dog towels with their names.  They love getting wrapped up and making animal noises.  The wild boys in our house (all 3) have also been wrestling.  It's funny watching them knock each other down... they're so nice about it!  I know it will get worse as they get older, but for now it's cute and entertaining!  We also had an indoor picnic.  Sometimes the weather here doesn't always cooperate, but we have anyway. Finally, one of my favorites was reading books before bed with dad!  They were having a great time.  Keegan was happy to pose for the pictures and read stories!  I am amazed at how fast they are growing... that I take even more pictures to remember all the wonderful times we get to share together.  

1st Day of Preschool

Justus is off to school!  What a great day.  He had a wonderful time at preschool.  He will go M/W/F 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.  Today was his first day... and not one tear was shed (by Justus).  He wore his new clothes and brought along his spider-man backpack.  He didn't hesitate at all, but waved by to mom and dad and went on his way.  The teachers said he did great.. as if he'd been there before.  Following the rules, playing well, sharing, and cleaning up.  When we asked Justus about his day... he told us about pretzels for snack, playing outside and they had a basketball hoop just his size.  Just like a boy to remember the food and recess!  He said he wanted to go back. Aaron took the boys to McDonalds to "celebrate".  Justus informed us we had to celebrate school today.  However, his version included costumes?!  Better luck next time!  Anyway, we think preschool is a success! 

First Fishing Trip

Justus got to go on his first REAL fishing trip.  Aaron's friend and co-worker took them out on his boat.  Aaron, Justus, Kelly, and his two daughters had a great time.  Aaron got lots of fish and we got to eat fresh fish (salmon) for dinner that night!  Justus' highlight was pooping in a bucket!  O' to be three.  He seemed to have a great time fishing... he even got to drive the boat.  Maybe next time Keegan will get a turn to go!  He didn't like being left behind.

Grass?

Well the work is starting to pay off... we have GRASS!!!  You would think Justus planted it.  He's so proud that we have grass in the yard.  And it looks soooo pretty!  It will be nice when we can play in it!  It looks nice... it just needs to fill in more. You might notice the orange fence...  We've had several unwanted moose and a Chevron walking in our yard.  If you look even closer to the first picture you can Justus in the window :).   Aaron is hoping to mow the yard at least once before the snow flies.  I'm sure he'll get too!

Yard Work

We have been busy this summer.. but also trying to improve the look of the house!  We used to have too many trees in our yard.  It made the front of our house dark and NOT even visible. You can kind of see in the picture of Aaron and the boys on the 4-wheeler.  There are lots of tree trunks.  We decided to fall a few trees. The first picture shows NO trees in the front.  It is nice and open. Thankfully the Fire Wise program in our area was brought to our attention... so the next thing you know we are redoing the whole yard!  The money from the Fire Wise paid for the yard work!  It all worked out well... and the yard is looking great.  The boys have been enjoying all the BIG MACHINES!  They even got to go for a ride with Greg.  Everyone has pitched in... but Aaron put in some long hours to get it all done.  We were on the clock to get the yard hydroseeded so close to the end of summer.  Still some work to do, but here is the start!
